SRS Westside Realty and REALTOR® Deepak Jagpal ("we", "us", "our") are committed to protecting your personal information. This policy explains what we collect through deepakjagpal.com (the "Site"), why, how it's used and shared, and the rights you have — in accordance with British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, where applicable, the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

Who we are

Deepak Jagpal, Personal Real Estate Corporation, is a licensee of SRS Westside Realty, Suite 1100 – 1200 West 73rd Avenue, Vancouver, BC V6P 6G5, regulated by the BC Financial Services Authority (BCFSA). For the purposes of this policy, Deepak Jagpal acts as Privacy Officer for personal information collected through this Site.

Information we collect

Information you provide directly — when you submit a form (contact, home valuation, buy/sell/duplex inquiry, or the entry pop-up), we collect what you enter: name, phone number, email address, and any property or real estate details or messages you include.

Information collected automatically — like most websites, we use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use the Site. This collects information such as your approximate location (city-level), device and browser type, pages viewed, and referring site, typically via cookies. This data is aggregated and is not used to personally identify you for marketing purposes.

Why we collect it

We use your information to: respond to your inquiry; provide real estate services related to buying, selling, or evaluating a property; follow up about your real estate goals; and understand and improve how visitors use the Site. We do not use your information for any purpose beyond what it was collected for without your consent.

Consent & communications

By submitting a form on this Site, you consent to Deepak Jagpal contacting you by phone, text, or email regarding your inquiry. You may withdraw consent and opt out of further contact at any time by telling us directly (see Contact below) or by using the unsubscribe/opt-out option in any email you receive. Withdrawing consent will not affect service already provided.

Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We disclose it only as needed to provide our services or where required by law:

  • With SRS Westside Realty, our brokerage, as required for regulatory, transaction, and supervisory purposes.
  • With the Multiple Listing Service® (MLS®) and real estate boards, where necessary to facilitate a listing, showing, or transaction.
  • With service providers who help us operate the Site and our business on our behalf, including Netlify (website hosting), Google (Analytics and Workspace email — both may process data on servers located outside Canada, including the United States), and myRealPage (MLS® listing search & IDX tools). These providers are only permitted to use your information to deliver services to us.
  • Where required by law, regulation (including BCFSA), court order, or to protect our legal rights.

Because some of our service providers operate outside of Canada, your information may be accessed by courts, law enforcement, or regulatory authorities in those jurisdictions under their applicable laws.

Cookies

This Site uses cookies from Google Analytics to measure site traffic and usage. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics tracking using Google's browser opt-out tool. Blocking cookies may affect some Site functionality but will not prevent you from browsing or contacting us.

Third-party services

This Site embeds third-party services — including Google Maps, MLS®/IDX listing search (myRealPage), and links to social media platforms — which are governed by their own separate privacy policies. We encourage you to review those policies before interacting with embedded content.

Retention & security

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes it was collected for, or as required by BCFSA record-keeping rules or other law. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information, though no method of transmission or storage over the internet is 100% secure.

Under BC's Personal Information Protection Act, you have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, and to request correction of any inaccuracies. Children's privacy

This Site is intended for adults seeking real estate services and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.
